Black Sheep Ancestors
Do you know if any of your ancestors were outlaws, convicted criminals, or wanted men? A website was launched recently that focuses on helping genealogists discover the answer to that question. Black Sheep Ancestors organizes links to various online resources that publish criminal records, executions, prisoner lists, biographies, and court records. The website is operated by Tyler Schulze, who was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. He served in the Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry 2nd Battalion for six years completed tours in Bosnia and Afghanistan. But some of you might be more familiar with his mother, Lorine McGinnis Schulze, who runs the famous Olive Tree Genealogy website.

3 Million Holocaust Victim Identities Published Online
Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust Museum posted online a database of the identities of 3 million Holocaust victims. You can search the database for free at their website: www.yadvashem.orgThe database is based on more than two million "pages of testimony" submitted to the Yad Vashem memorial in Jerusalem since 1950 by survivors or family members and friends of Jews killed in the Holocaust. Other information was extracted from historical documentation, such as correspondence of Nazi officials and lists of inmates at death camps. You can also view scanned images of "pages of testimony" documents.
Prisoner Ships of Early Australia
A new article was published entitled " Prisoner Ships of Early Australia", written by Jim Schneider. This article gives a brief history of the first convict settlers of the East Coast of Australia, documents their hardships, and the living conditions on the ships. If you have Australia convict ancestors dating back into the 1780's and 1790's this may be of interest to you.
