History of Pike County, Illinois, published 1935

Yesterday, Ancestry.com re-published an old history book entitled, "The Jess M. Thompson Pike County history : as printed in installments in the Pike County republican, Pittsfield, Illinois, 1935".

This history was originally published in the pages of the Pike County Republican, between the years of 1935 to 1939, and then republished in book form in 1967 by the Pike County Historical Society.

The book features nearly 200 chapters, many of which focus on specific families that settled in Pike County, Illinois throughout the 1800s.

Ancestry.com has scanned the pages of this book, and placed the complete set of images into its Family & Local Histories collection. The FLH collection contains over 20,000 other scanned history and genealogy books. To view this book online, a subscription of $79.95 (Annual) or $39.95 (Quarterly) is required.
