Military Aviation Incident Reports Available Online

A website called Accident-Report.com can provide you with copies of accident reports relating to U.S. military aircraft, including information on the persons involved in the accidents.

The website has documents from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Air Force, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps. They span a period from 1918 to 1952. If you have a relative that was involved in a military aircraft incident, then you might be interested in this.

The website has a directory of names of people involved in these accidents. From there, you can request a quote from Accident-Report.com to find out how much information is available. There is a fee if you choose to have them send you a copy of the report.

These documents probably provide very little genealogical value. However, they provide details of where, when, how, and why the aircraft was involved in an accident. Hence, it could bring closure to a piece of your family's history.
