Those wishing to research their relatives who served in World War II can avail themselves of an online memorial registry available at the National World War II Memorial web site which is searchable by state. This resource combines four databases as follows:

- Persons buried in American Battle Monuments Commission overseas military cemeteries.
- Person memorialized on American Battle Monuments Commission Tablets of the Missing.
- Those listed in official killed in service rosters held by NARA.
- Those honored by public enrollment in the Registry of Remembrances.
