Origins Network Adds More UK Records

Origins.netOrigins Network, which owns the British Origins website, announced they've added more UK research materials to its subscription package:

  • 1871 Census records: Cornwall and Dorset - Over half a million (555,079) additional records are now available for searching on the 1871 England and Wales Census on British Origins. Images of the original census records are available alongside the indexes.

  • London Apprentice Extracts - Fishmongers and Vintners records containing 80,000 names added to British Origins covering the years 1609-1800. Abstracts of apprentice indentures of 55 London Livery Companies are now available on British Origins. Records of the Livery Companies of London are one of the greatest archival treasures of the world. Dating from the late medieval period to the present, they provide a mass of information on innumerable subjects. For the family historian, they can provide an immense amount of genealogical and biographical details on members.
