New Genealogy Blog Launched at Interment.net

Interment.netInterment.net launched a new blog for those with an interest in family history and/or cemeteries.

The blog actually replaces a website feature called "Cemetery Column" that had published articles relating to cemeteries and family history. The new blog will actually continue the same purpose, but in a format and system that automates many of the manual processes with Cemetery Column.

Most of the articles published on Cemetery Column will eventually be republished in blog form, though the old article URLs will remain live.

Also, the blog itself sports the new page design that is being deployed across the entire website.

It's expected that with this new blog format and system, more articles will be published, more frequently.

This is not the first blog published on Interment.net. Last November, the website converted its "What's New" page into a blog as well. The What's New page posts summaries of all new transcriptions published that day. By putting it into a blog form, it automated the management of monthly archive pages, as well as the RSS feed, providing genealogists with a remote way to keep track of new additions to Interment.net.
